The design for this domestic fire extinguisher was an attempt at making them more popular in home settings. It was recognised that their industrial appearance was one barrier to their common usage in the home. The unit could be attached to the wall or be placed on a shelf stand using the base plate, which allowed for stability and created a designated storage place. The result lead to a more attractive and appropriate design, which was ideally suited for domestic use. It was awarded the Design Index ADI & Compasso d’Oro.
